§ America §
Southern America was under the control [by fear] of the vampire-bat Azeman.
In Brazil we find a demon-vampire that can take the form of a snake to oversee the victims – Jaracacas would consume both blood and breast milk.
He would choose a house and sneak in using his snake form. At night he would kill the newborn and feed on both the blood and the milk of the mother.
According to some legends he would sometimes keep the baby alive as much as he could to be able to get more milk from the mother.
Present in both Slavic and [more recently] Canadian legends, Mara was considered to be the demonic reincarnation of an unbaptized young woman who would crush her victims.
In the Slavic version she fell in love with the one she chose as a victim so she would return every night to have sexual relations with him and drink his blood.
She would never choose children as victims.
§ Australia §
All over the continent we find tales of Talamaur, a living vampire that could communicate with the spirits and even turn them into their slaves. It would even send them to do its bidding.
It would sometimes leave the body at night and visit cemeteries in spirit form to drain the recent corpses of any residual energies.
